Osprey
24" long, up to 5 1/2-foot wingspan;
female: same as male, but larger
with necklace of brown streaking

Nests seen throughout Florida.
Recent studies show male and female might mate for life.
Osprey is the only raptor that plunges into water feet first to catch fish. Can hover a few seconds before diving.
